Doug was in studio with Jon-David Wells of the KSKY radio show ”The Wells Report”. Mr Wells (JD), is an incredible voice for America and discusses issues that matter most to Americans — politics, pop culture, the war on terror, crime, education, immigration, and much more. He is also a huge advocate of our men and women of the US military serving in harm’s way all over the world. On the show Doug shared with JD and the audience on how Ryan’s Project got started after they lost their youngest son, Ryan, as a result of injuries received in combat while in Iraq.

They talked about the upcoming Marine Corps Ball events, the Armed Forces Bowl, Toys For Tots and other ideas on how Ryan’s Project can help our wounded and disabled soldiers needing help and hope. Doug will continue to be an occasional guest on the show and JD as a voice of support for Ryan’s Project.

Thanks to the generosity of Beverly Sue Global Services and Mansfield Area Marines, Ryan’s Project will be present at the Ninth Annual Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl!

The Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl is set for 11 a.m. (CST) on Friday, December 30 at Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas. Ryan’s Project will be in a 10 x 10 space in the “Adventure Area” at the entrance to the stadium.  Please come say hello!

Ryan’s Project and our sponsored Marines will be present at the Marine Wing Support Squadron 473 (MWSS-473, Detachment B) Birthday Ball taking place at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

We have received the agenda for the Toys for Tots DFW Motorcycle Ride. Everyone at Ryan’s Project is extremely excited about this event! We look forward to seeing everyone come out in support of this great mission!

Ryan’s Project is pleased to participate in the DFW 2011 Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Motorcyle Run! The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. If you can donate, please check their website for a menu of Texas locations! They are also looking for volunteers, so please feel free to contact them and help our Texas children have a wonderful Christmas!

As for the motorcycle run, expect more details, but thus far the fun begins at Duke’s in Bedford on Thursday, December 1 from 7:00pm – 10:00pm, the run takes place Saturday, December 3rd, 9:00am at Family PowerSports and ends at a VFW location still pending.
